Adolescent and adult dtap/dT vaccination coverage, summary
This page presents the percentage of 15- and 25-year-olds who have received the diphtheria, tetanus and whooping cough (dtap) vaccine as well as the percentage of 45- and 65-year-olds who have received the diphtheria and tetanus (dT) vaccine. The data are updated weekly based on the most recent information available in the Population Information System and the Finnish vaccination register. The dtap/dT vaccination coverage is assessed by calendar year, age and area. The sex and area of interest can be selected from the drop-down menu on the left-hand side of the page.
Vaccination coverage (%) by calendar year and age in Men and women in All areas

For each calendar year since 2020, all 15-, 25-, 45-, and 65-year-olds living in Finland at the end of that year are included in the analysis. The age of a person is defined as calendar year - year of birth - 1, so that, for example, all those born in 2004 are considered to be 15 years old in 2020. The municipality of a person is defined as the latest known home municipality of that person in the calendar year of interest. If the population includes less than 100 individuals, the number and percentage of vaccinated are masked.
The vaccination follow-up is not restricted to one calendar year. To be considered vaccinated, a person included in this analysis as a 15-year-old must have received a dtap vaccine at the age of 13 to 16 years. Similarly, a person included in this analysis as a 25-year-old must have received a dtap vaccine at the age of 23 to 27 years and a person included in this analysis as a 45- or 65-year-old must have received a dT vaccine at the age of 43 to 47 years or 63 to 67 years, respectively, to be considered vaccinated. It is therefore expected that the vaccination coverage among 15-year-olds in the current and previous calendar year and the vaccination coverage among 25-, 45- and 65-year-olds in the current calendar year and the two previous years will continue to improve.
